I can’t seem to find my smile,
I’ve looked all over.
I went to the park,
where I thought I saw it last.
But all I saw there were memories
And good times gone past.
Then I went to the beach,
Where we walked in the sand
But all I saw there were images
Of us hand in hand.
I went down by the lake,
Where we once used to sit,
Where you told me you loved me,
I was sure that was it.
But my smile wasn’t there,
It wasn’t to be found.
I tried so hard to remember
The last time I saw it around.
Then I remembered.
